When I was in high school, I became friends with a photographer. I loved her photographs and thought that her and her art was incredibly interesting. I wanted to become a photographer too. I found my father's camera and carried it with me everywhere I went, snapping photographs of everything I saw. After high school, I took a year to decide what I wanted to do with my live: I chose photography. I applied to photography school at Holland College, and graduated from the photography program 2004. After graduation, I went back to work, hoping to earn money to buy lots of fancy equipment. That didn't work out so much. I discovered, though,  that I prefer taking pictures without all of that fancy stuff- I like available light in natural settings. After a few years of working at a crappy job, I decided to try another path. I enrolled in the nursing program at UPEI. So now I am a nursing student and will someday be a nurse, however I still love photography and do not want to give it up. Being a student, I have limited free time during the school year, but in the spring and summer, I would love to pick up some photography jobs. Interested? Contact me and we'll talk.
